ColivingMontreal, a modern shared living space nestled in the heart of Montréal, is a housing complex made up of fully furnished individual units that provides several different types of coliving options. Our establishment has four rooms, two suites and two separate apartments, all air conditioned and available for individuals who are seeking a flexible living situation that is both convenient and comfortable. There is a common area conducive to collaboration, a well-equipped kitchen, several balconies and terraces as well as a secure parking lot located inside the complex.

Accommodation
Two Suites
Twice as much space as our individual rooms, our two suites are equipped with a queen size bed, a private bathroom, a living room space with a sofa and an eating area with a refrigerator and a microwave oven.
Single occupant per suite.

Four Rooms
Our two rooms on the main floor each have a queen-size bed and are equipped with a private bathroom with shower.
Upstairs are two rooms equipped with double beds and a shared bathroom. Ideal for colleagues staying together.

Rooms with private bathroom 15 sq m (162 sq ft): $1000 CAD/month
Small room with shared bathroom 10 sq m (108 sq ft): $750 CAD/month
Large room with shared bathroom 15 sq m (162 sq ft): $950 CAD/month

The Cottage
This charming little house has two stories and its own private street entrance. On the main floor is a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a double sofa-bed. On the second floor is a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a bathroom with shower. There is also a washer and dryer in the house.
Single or double occupancy (ideal for a couple).
Living area: 45 sq meters (485 sq ft)

The Apartment
Our most spacious unit offers a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a comfortable double sofa-bed as well as a dining area.

Living area: 70 sq meters (754 sq ft)

Shared Areas
Located on the first floor of the main building is a large, fully equipped, communal kitchen, an enclosed multipurpose office space and a laundry room.
The second floor is arranged in an open concept office space.
Three outdoor balconies and patios are also available to our residents.
A perfect place to relax, debrief and reboot from spring to fall!
Rental conditions
The minimum length of stay is one month, however, during the tourist season (May to September), a minimum stay of three months is required.
Cancellation policy
We require a non-refundable deposit equivalent to one month rent once the lease has been signed.
Parking
There is a secure enclosed parking lot within the complex accessible by a remote-control door. The cost is $150 CAD/month. Paid parking by the day is also available for our residents and their guests.

Q: What is coliving?
A: The term coliving means working together and living together. It is an intentional community where remote workers can meet other people with similar interests in a friendly, professional and stimulating environment for a period ranging from one to nine months (exceptions can be made upon request). The common areas (kitchen, lounge, workspaces, leisure areas, terraces) are shared spaces reserved for our residents and their guests. ColivingMontreal is also ideal for students, travellers, or anyone relocating to the city and looking for a flexible living situation that they share with like-minded individuals. It is the perfect solution for those who would prefer a social dimension to their stay, where they will feel more at home than in a hotel.
Q: Who is ColivingMontreal?
A: In 2011, Philippe and Nicolas, the owners of ColivingMontreal, opened the Bed and Breakfast du Village, one of the most popular Bed and Breakfasts in Montreal for almost ten years. In 2020, they have decided to convert their establishment into a type of rooming house inspired by the idea of coliving.
Q: What services are offered in each living space?
A: Each room, suite and apartment is equipped with its own air conditioner, high speed broadband Internet, a television with Apple TV (access to cable, Netflix, etc..). The rooms and suites also have access to a shared kitchen and laundry room.
Q: Is it possible to telework at ColivingMontreal?
A: We have set up several work areas, both formal and informal, in the building. Telework is, therefore, possible from morning to evening, always in respect of the community that is sharing the space. A printer is also available. Conscious of the evolution of the world of remote working, we are ready to adapt and make changes based on suggestions from our residents.
Q: Why is it different than a hotel room or a studio rented through a reservation platform?
A: The concept of coliving implies a social dimension where the residence participates in an intentional community: A Coexistence. Whether you choose a room with a shared bathroom, a suite or a fully furnished apartment, residents are invited to share the common areas and to propose initiatives to the community. The hosts take care of everything else.
Q: Where in Montreal are you located?
A: We are located in the heart of Montreal’s Gay Village in downtown Montreal, beside one of the city’s largest francophone universities, UQÀM. The Quartier des Spectacles (Entertainment district) is a 15-minute walk from our coliving complex (three metro stops), Old Montreal is a 20-minute walk (also three metro stops) and Montreal’s two largest English universities (McGill and Concordia) are a 30-minute walk (four metro stops). Q: Are you close to a metro station?
A: We are a 2-minute walk to the Beaudry station (green line) and a 10-minute walk to the Berri-UQÀM station (green line, orange line, yellow line).

Q: What is included in the price?
A: The price includes all charges including Internet and memberships such as Netflix. All units are cleaned once a week (certain conditions apply). The only additional fees would be for parking, if required.

A: Once the lease is signed, a non-refundable deposit equivalent to one month rent is required in order to confirm the reservation.
Q: Are you an eco-friendly establishment?
A: The environment is our top priority. We only use eco-friendly cleaning products, we collect recyclable and compostable waste.
